KANU NWANKWO SIGNS AN ENDORSEMENT DEAL WITH STARTIMES

The former  Super Eagles Captain, Kanu Nwankwo has signed an endorsement deal with StarTimes.
Kanu Nwankwo popularly known as   Papilo is now the face of StarTimes.

According to reports, the contract is worth millions of naira.
He made the announcement on his Twitter page on October 29
here is what he wrote “I thank God for making me Ambasador, face of StarTimes. Don't be the last to go and get your StarTimes is affordable.”

Njideka Akunyili Crosby Wins Studio Museum in Harlem’s Wein Prize

The Studio Museum in Harlem is giving its fifty-thousand-dollar Wein Prize to Njideka Akunyili Crosby, according to Randy Kennedy in the New York Times. Established by George Wein, the Newport Jazz Festival’s found, in honor of his late wife, Joyce Alexander Wein, a former museum trustee, the award—which recognizes established or emerging African-American artists—has been given every year since 2006.
Crosby is known for paintings that incorporate collage and portray African and American domestic interior spaces. Her work was included in the New Museum’s 2015 Triennial and highlighted in a solo show at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.
She “truly represents the global nature of the Studio Museum’s mission and reach,” said Thelma Golden, the Studio Museum’s director.

In a recent chat with Genevieve Magazine Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli narrated how she met ger husband  Nnamdi Oboli.

"He had been trailing me, but he couldn’t find me (four years after a brief meeting), until a friend of found me and told me he was looking for me. I found out later that he had given up the search a long time earlier because he thought that I deliberately given him wrong information. The accommodation I had at first outside the campus turned out to be a male hostel and I had to move out.
When he came calling, I had moved out! If it were you, what would you think? The girl has “posted” you, right? Anyway, he found me and came immediately to see me. He then disappeared for some months, and when he appeared again , we started dating, and two weeks later he proposed!
It was a funny proposal. You know when you have those conversations with a guy, and he keeps on mentioning things like, “if we were married, do you think it would be good to do this or to do that?” or “our children would be beautiful”. So I stopped him one time and said, “Wait a minute!” All this “if we were married or our children this, or our home that, what exactly are you saying?” Are you asking me to marry you?” Then he asked me to marry him, and of course I didn’t hesitate to say yes!
As my husband said, most men know what they want in a shorter time than they try to make out. My husband has never been the kind of man to wait for what he want; if wants something he goes for it. And his confidence and likability made it easy for me to love him right back and commit so quickly. He basically ran me over with his love."

In a recent advert in the Evening Standard, the organisation wrote: "Interested in helping medical research into a vaccine for Ebola and being paid for your help?

Hammersmith Medical Research has placed a newspaper advert seeking healthy people to take part in clinical trials for a vaccine for this particular illness.
Willing volunteers are being sought
A research lab is calling for volunteers willing to be injected with Ebola in a bid to find a cure for the disease.
Hammersmith Medical Research is holding clinical experiments to try and discover a vaccine to prevent more people dying in West Africa.
Previous trials held by Oxford University in September involved patients being injected with a single protein from the Ebola virus to trigger an immune response.
The organisers of the London trial, which will begin in November, are looking for healthy volunteers between the ages of 18 and 65 to take part in the experiment.
According to reports-"The current outbreak of Ebola in West Africa is estimated to have caused more than 10,000 deaths, and is still ongoing.
"There is no specific treatment or cure for Ebola.
"We hope that the study vaccine will prevent people becoming infected with Ebola."
The study involves up to 12 outpatient visits and could take place over the course of a year.
Since February 2014, almost 28,000 people across Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia have been struck down by Ebola, and more than 11,000 died.
The Ebola virus is among the most lethal diseases known to man .
There is no tested vaccine, no cure, and it kills 90% of infected patients.
Outbreaks typically occur in remote villages in Central and West Africa, near tropical rainforests.
The spread of the disease is worsened by mistrust of western medicine in some African communities.
Earlier this month Pauline Cafferkey , who had battled Ebola in January was left fighting for her life after a relapse of the disease.
But the leaders of the Hammersmith Medicines Research would like to reassure those interested in taking part in the trial there is no risk of catching Ebola by taking part in the study
